I missed you :( lol

OMG it has been forever and a hot minute since I even logged on to check yt, twitter, my emails or even my blog :( Too busy these days with work and then on top of that the hubby kidnapped the laptop for work, so I haven't been able to do videos or even a blogpost! :O

Anyhow, I'm doing great, and I'm haulin' lots, I'll do a seperate blogpost on that soon :) Tried a MSF and I love it! :D But more about that in another post...

Meanwhile, I've been tagged by the most awesome and gorgeous *SweetestSinSheroon* (PLS do check out her blog!) to share ten honest things about me that people may not know about me.

1. I'm multi lingual.. Actually I'm friggin super multi lingual. Grew up speaking Danish and Punjabi. I learned some basic German in school, Spanish in high school, and I sort of just happened to understand Hindi and Urdu on my own (They're pretty similar to Punjabi, I guess), as well as Swedish and Norweigan, which both happen to sound a lot like Danish. Oh yeah, and English :P

2. People always assume I'm not Indian, but something else. Although I don't try to hide my "desi-ness", people will usually think I'm middle eastern, mixed or something else. Even Indian people don't think I'm Indian.

3. I used to be a self-taught Nail Technician. I did acrylic nails in Denmark for about 2 years. I worked in a salon and I charged about 120 bucks (CDN) for a set of acrylics. I thought I'd be able to use my nail skills once I moved to Canada, but I gave up once I found out how cheap the Vietnamese ladies do it, lol. And damn them, they do awesome nails so fast too. I used to take 1.5-2 hours for a set.

4. I have two dogs. One is a ten-year-old female Husky/German Shepherd mix named Sparkle. Our second dog is a 18 month old Jack Russell Terrier (or terrorist, as I say) named Raju. The two dogs are total opposites. One is old and slow, the other one is hyper and bouncin' off of the walls, lol. Sometimes I feel bad for Sparkle because Raju's such a pain to her.

5. I HATE the color green with a passion. Not for eyeshadows (that's about the only thing), but for furniture, interior decorating, clothes, nails... But if I were to get some jewellery with emeralds, I wouldn't be angry :) lol

6. I seriously envy women who get their legs waxed and don't actually need them waxed again untill a month after. That shit don't fly with me and my hairy self, lol - If I were to get my legs waxed, hair would be growing on em 7 days later. Same goes for my eyebrows, tash, etc...

7. There's an old crazy Brazilian dude at my work who always says I look Latina and flirts with me about it. He always insists (in a funny Brazilian accent) that I can't be Indian because I have light brown eyes. AND he tells me every other day that "btw, you look'a like'a my freeend from Bra-zeeeeeeeel." Yucks, lol.

8. I'm naive. I believe everything people say, so don't lie cuz it sucks, lol...

9. Am never satisfied with my hair : I know my hair's indcredibly shiney and thick looking, but really, it's not all that it's cracked up to be. Even though my hair's only shoulder length these days, it takes FOREVER to straighten it cuz I have so much of hair, and I can't really do much with it. I wish it was a bit thinner :(

10. I'm a top chef :D I love cooking and eating. Not that I can bust out a Creme Brulee or something like that, but I do love making people happy with my food :) Most people assume I don't cook at all. I guess I just look like the type who doesn't know how to cook, but I cook atleast every other day, if not everyday.

So that's it for my tag :) Thanks again to *SweetestSinSheroon* for tagging me, I love your blog too girlie!!
More posts coming up soon. I have been trying to get my shit together and do a Thevi and Heartbreaker Cosmetics review, as well as a haul.

Summer movies & latest haul pics

Hey guys!

OMG it is SO friggin hot here in Toronto these days, but it's awesome, I love summer! Looks like we're gonna be having cooler weather this upcoming week with rain, so that's a bummer :(

On a different note, this morning I burnt my pinky while making chai (indian tea), and it looks SO gross right now :( It turned into a blister and it looks SO NASTY! Pity me, lol! I put a ton of polysporin on it and I took major pain killers to stop the burning sensation from bothering me too much. I had to ice it for a couple of hours after it happened because the pain was too extreme for me! And I'm usually a person with high pain tolerance, so you can imagine it's not pleasant!

Anyhoo, watched 2 of the "big" movies this summer. First one was Transformers, with Shia Lebeouf and Megan Fox. OMFG she's hot. I'd do her, lol! Shia is cute too, I didn't like him in the first one as much as in this one. As a matter of fact, I think this one was way better and more interesting than the first one! It has its cheesy moments and stereotypical kick ass action lines, but all over it was an alright movie to watch :)

We also watched Hangover earlier today, and OMG let me tell you, it was HILARIOUS. It's basically a story of some guys who go to Vegas for a stag party which turns out to be a little more than they expected, and LOL! I still can't stop laughing, the movie had me laughing from pretty much beginning till end. I don't know if you guys know Bradley Cooper; he was the psycho fiance from Wedding Crashers. He's in this movie too, and he was actually pretty hot too, lol!
If you liked movies like Harold & Kumar and Wedding Crashers, you'll love this! Hubby and I laughed SO hard throughout the entire movie, and I would SO watch it again :)
Anyways, here are a couple of pix of the few things I mentioned in my last haul video. Note the generous pigment samples, the MUA was SO sweet!!! I did some swatches but they turned out really poopy, so I didn't post them :(

Comments

As I've had some hater leave idiotic comments on a couple of blogposts, I have had to change comment settings so only registered users can comment. Sorry to the rest of you guys who are hassled by it, but I am just so not bothered sitting here deleting idiotic no good comments!

To the hater: If you really want to say alll these horrible things about me, I suggest you login this time and say what you have to say. Untill then - choke on a fat one and die, you loser.

Randomness

Thanks to everyone for congratulating me on the new job :) You guys rock!
So far it's just awesome, everybody's really sweet and the job itself is good too! I know people will ask what it is, and it's basically just an administrative office-y kind of job :)
Other than the new job, I've been hauling a few things here and there and I received some samples courtesy of Susan from Heartbreaker Cosmetics. So I definately have a number of videos (and blogposts) that I am planning on making for yt :)
I know a lot of my youtube subbies read this blog too, and dont worry, I haven't forgotten you at all! I still read each and every comment and I try to answer every question that I can! If there are any questions you want to ask, you can always email me @ babyjanny.makeup@gmail.com ! And btw, I try to update my twitter as much as I can, lol! Still new to it though! www.twitter.com/babyjanny

Delhi 6 - and Whopeeee! :D

Watched Delhi 6 the other day... Wasn't quite sure what to expect, as I hadn't heard much about the story. I was interested in the movie right from the get-go, as it had a very interested start, but it just turned out to be kind of odd and far-fetched.
I was surprised (or weirded out?) by the ending and the story as it unfolded. Even the trailer doesn't actually say what the movie was about. It was all a little strange, lol!

I'm not gonna do a review, but I think it was sort of OK to watch for a rainy day.... otherwise I wouldn't really have bothered, lol :) I liked how they had so many different shots of India's streets and people - It makes me want to go back to the "motherland" for a visit! :D
Besides that, I have excellent news for me and bad news for a lot of other people, lol! I got a job! So I probably will be making less videos and posting less blogposts, but I will definately still be around :)
Kisses!

A Rose Is A Rose

OMG guys, I want this! This is A Rose Is a Rose Quad, aint it a puuurty lil' thang? :D I knew when Rose Romance was released, but I recently was given samples of the pigments that came with this collection and since I have been really excited about the colors in this collection. I'm dieing for this quad, but it's only available at Nordstrom's :( Also, looks to be value for money; it's going for around US$ 36, so maybe it'd be around Cdn$ 45 here? Still comes down to around 12 dollars for each shadow, which isn't bad at all!

However, I heard this is/will be available at The Bay here in Canada.. Can anybody confirm if they have seen this quad there?

ALL product info and pictures are courtesy of http://www.temptalia.com/ :)

The quad contains:
Solar White Golden white (Frost) (Repromote)
Contrast Dark purple/blue (Velvet) (Permanent)
Seeds of Love frosted peach (Frost)
Petal Worship Light, blue-based pink (Frost)
